Munitions, Robots and TITUS Also on Show
Just a week after the Czech Defence Minister, Lubomir Metnar, signed the procurement order for 52 CAESAR 8×8 self-propelled guns (see Czech Republic Orders Nexter CAESAR 8×8 | MOENCH PUBLISHING GROUP (monch.com), Nexter is showcasing a CAESAR as part of its display at IDET 2021 in Brno.
The displayed example corresponds to the version in service with the Danish Army – the final configuration of the Czech variant is still under discussion.
Also prominent on the Nexter stand will be a wide range of ammunition products, featuring the highest levels of performance and reliability, covering 80% of the range of munitions used by NATO. Both standard and ‘smart’ rounds will be on show, as well as protective solutions – reactive modules in particular. Medium-calibre ammunition in 20-30mm calibres as well as the 40CT range will undoubtedly attract visitor interest, and the range of ground robots on display will include the NERVA XX and NERVA LG.
Finally, on the Czechoslovak Group (CSG) stand, Nexter is unveiling a new variant of the TITUS armoured vehicle dedicated to route clearing.
