Artillery rocket system provides mass fire power
Roketsan’s 610mm diameter KHAN artillery rocket system provides mass fire power on high-payoff targets and fire support to manoeuvring units by creating timely, accurate and effective firepower.
KHAN, stored, transported, loaded and launched in a “Missile in Canister” (MIC) configuration, is able to hit targets accurately with its inertial guidance system or its GNSS-supported inertial guidance system. It can be launched from a variety of platforms with suitable integration interfaces.
The launcher platform is integrated on an 8×8 vehicle with superior on- and off-road performance as well as a strong structure providing a reliable platform. It is therefore suitable for a wide array of missions from peace support operations to fire missions in addition to standard tactical missions in support of a manoeuvring force. It has shoot-and-scoot capabilities enabled by navigation, automatic hydraulic levelling and stabilisation and automatic cradle-laying capabilities integrated with the weapon management system. In addition, it can operate in isolation or with a battery C2 system. Maximum required crew is three (commander, gunner and driver) due to a high level of automation of the weapon control, navigation and laying systems.
