Continuing development via engine nacelles and seating systems

Two divisions of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) are contributing to the continuing development of the Bell Helicopter VALOR tiltrotor.

IAI LAHAV provides the engine nacelles and IAI GOLAN INDUSTRIES the seating systems and, with 10 additional leading aerospace companies, form a part of Team Valor.

“In addition to the crew seats, IAI has provided more than 700 details and assemblies including sheet metal formings, fabricated composites and additive manufacturing details [….] vital elements which make up the V-280 VALOR’s revolutionary fixed engine/rotating proprotor nacelles,” said Lisa Atherton, Bell Helicopter’s Execeutive Vice President of Military Business.

IAI joined the VALOR programme in October 2014 and was the first international teammate to be integrated into Bell Helicopter’s digital environment, enabling rapid collaboration and reduced development lead times.
