Increased Utility, Greater Simplicity
Emphasising its intuitive and easy to use nature, DiSTI will launch the latest version of GL STUDIO at I/ITSEC next week. Version 6 incorporates an all new state machine capability, allowing users to create the logic driving the user interface with simple, easy-to-use blocks. “If you can use Adobe PHOTOSHOP you can build a user interface using GL STUDIO 6,” the company’s marketing literature states.
A new level of sharing is enabled in this version too: drag-and-drop sharing between STUDIO and DESIGNER provides for powerful synergies between team members or even entire teams in separate locations. An additional feature is a new high resolution text function, aimed at exploiting the capabilities of 4K displays.
On display will be a mixed reality virtual maintenance training application using the Microsoft HoloLens: all you ever wanted to know about replacing a helicopter’s tail rotor blades.
