I/ITSEC 2016: CM Labs Unveils VORTEX STUDIO

New platform accelerates real-time simulation creation and deployment with integrated tools

CM Labs Simulations, a global provider of immersive simulation solutions for training and virtual prototyping, will launch VORTEX STUDIO at booth #2270. VORTEX STUDIO is a next-generation simulation and visualisation platform designed to allow simulation engineers to quickly create virtual training and prototyping applications for equipment operations on land and at sea.

The company’s new solution combines its acclaimed mechanical dynamics engine and intuitive desktop applications with a next-generation visualisation system and an extensive software development kit. VORTEX STUDIO provides users with a unified simulation creation and distribution platform that can easily be extended to interface with any third-party hardware and software. It helps users efficiently create immersive and accurate simulation systems for ground vehicle, heavy machinery, maritime and lifting equipment operator training, as well as mechatronic system virtual prototyping.

VORTEX STUDIO builds on over 20 years of simulation experience. CM Labs’ first entry into the training simulation industry was the launch of Vortex Dynamics, an embeddable middleware that delivered physics-based dynamics for use in custom simulation platforms. In 2013, CM Labs expanded its software portfolio with the release of VORTEX SOFTWARE Solution, which accelerated dynamics modelling and simulation validation by replacing code-driven processes with user-friendly model-based desktop applications. Today, it powers over 1,000 simulators across the world in the defence, construction and maritime industries.

“The training simulation industry has changed significantly over the last decade. Customers are more tech-savvy, their expectations are higher, and simulation integrators are now asked to deliver ultra-realistic training solutions in less time,Simulations’ Chief Commercial Officer, Arnold Free, said. “VORTEX STUDIO provides a unified simulation platform that allows them to focus on their core business, and not on maintaining disparate technology platforms.”
