$70 Million Contract from AFRL

HII has been awarded a $70 million contract by the US Air Force to conduct technical analysis and recommend enhancements for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), so the latter can better support DoD’s artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) and cyber modernisation priorities, the company announced on 9 November.

HII has been supporting the programme since 2017, and is teamed with Fairhaven Solutions LLC, Georo Consulting, srcLogic LLC, TACG LLC, University of Dayton Research Institute and Vana Solutions LLC. HII will provide strategic planning; capabilities definition; system engineering; data analytics and visualisation; modelling, simulation and analysis; cloud technologies and cross-domain solutions. “The HII team understands the challenges facing the Air Force, and has the proven technical expertise and vision to help facilitate alignment across its IT enterprise,” explained Grant Hagen, President of Mission Technologies’ Cyber, Electronic Warfare & Space business.
