MAF DMO Task Order Part of USAF TSA III Contract
The Mission Technologies division of HII has received a task order worth $79 million from the US Air Force to supply a range of technologies and services related to distributed live, virtual and constructive (LVC) training.
The task order covers an unspecified base period and includes five one-year options. HII will support MAF DMO (Mobility Air Force Distributed Mission Operations) run by the Air Force’s Air Mobility Command. The work will involve enabling persistent and distributed training of aircrews worldwide, and will encompass network engineering, cybersecurity, standards development and logistics. The company will operate and maintain a Distributed Training Center and its associated networks.
“Optimal network performance to support … training is vital to ensure the accuracy and safety of the mission,” stated Glenn Goodman, president of the mission technologies division’s LVC solutions business group. “Our engineers are industry experts in the design, development and operations of cyber-secure, large-scale distributed training architectures, and we look forward to supporting successful training operations worldwide.”
