HEMUS 2022: DSIT Highlights Surface Vessel Protection

ASW Suite, ORCA Training System and SeaShield Surveillance on Display

At HEMUS 2022 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, 1-4 June, DSIT Solutions, a subsidiary of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, will showcase its advanced ASW protection suite which detects underwater threats in all bathymetric layers.

The suite can be configured to meet very demanding customer requirements in vessels of various sizes from corvettes and OPVs to frigates. Among its principal components are: the BlackFish hull-mounted or bow-mounted sonar, using passive, active, and parallel modes of operation; the SwordFish towed array sonar, an active/passive variable depth system designed for both littoral and deep waters, adapted for multiple mission-sets; the WhitePointer UCS, designed for voice and data communications between surface ships and submarines.

All DSIT’s ASW systems are versatile, customisable, and ‘always on’. Our systems integrate cutting-edge electronics and acoustic technologies, as well as state-of-the-art machine learning, automation, and signal processing – ensuring exceptional performance in even the most challenging arenas. The ASW suite was designed to support bi-static and multi-static operations,” explained Hanan Marom, VP Marketing & Business Development.

DSIT will also present the ORCA training system and SeaShield, its powerful, long-range underwater coastal surveillance system.
