One of the Largest Single Orders in Company’s History
Hagenuk Marinekommunikation GmbH, a subsidiary of Atlas Elektronik, has been contracted to supply integrated communication systems for the second batch of five vessels in the Type K130 BRAUNSCHWEIG-class corvette programme for the German Navy.
The scope of supply includes radios covering the complete telecommunications spectrum from 10kHz-20 GHz, enabling information exchange between vessels or shore stations via voice or data radio. These intelligent communication systems offer users the greatest possible operational support and thus make a significant contribution to reliable operation of ships and crews.
With this order, Hagenuk leverages the successful delivery of these systems for the first five vessels in the BRAUNSCHWEIG-class. The contract represents one of the largest single orders in the company’s almost 120-year history and will secure jobs in Flintbek near Kiel, where communication systems for the German Navy and international navies have been developed and manufactured for over 20 years.
“Thanks to the very close cooperation both with our client and with support from the BAAINBw [Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support] and the German Navy, we are proud to develop a high-quality and reliable system that meets the complex communication requirements for national and international missions. And it is designed for future expansion,” commented Hagenuk Managing Director, Dr. Georg Marschall.
