$28 Million Including Training and Support

Argentine and Guatemalan Defence Ministers, Oscar Aguad and Gen Miguel Ralda, together with the President of state-owned Fábrica Argentina de Aviones (FAdeA), Antonio Beltramone, signed an agreement on 3 July covering the sale to the Guatemalan Air Force of two PAMPA III jet trainers, at a total of $28 million (€25 million).

The agreement also covers technical support and training, the latter of which will be the responsibility of VI Brigada Aérea of the Fuerza Aérea Argentina (FAA – Argentine Air Force), with which the PAMPA III is currently operational. The two aircraft to be delivered – by late November or early December this year – will be the PAMPA III demonstrator and an aircraft taken from the production lot currently in manufacture for the FAA. The service had expected to receive three aircraft this year – one will now be delivered in 2020.
