GPNVGs for RoK Police

Korean National Police Agency Purchases L3’s Panoramic Night Vision Goggles

On 11 June, L3 Warrior Sensor Systems announced that the Korean National Police Agency in South Korea has placed an order for the company’s Ground Panoramic Night Vision Goggles (GPNVG) in support of the country’s counterterrorism mission. With a 97-degree panoramic field-of-view (FoV), the GPNVG provides the operator increased situational awareness during periods of reduced light and night operations.

Our GPNVG offers an unmatched advantage for the operator,” Serge Buchakjian, General Manager of International Solutions for Warrior Sensor Systems, said. “The increased situational awareness gained from the wider field-of-view will enable the Korean National Police to enhance their operational effectiveness and help maintain the safety and security of their citizens.”

Manufactured at Warrior Sensor Systems’ headquarters in Londonderry, New Hampshire, USA, the GPNVG uses four image-intensified (I2) tubes to create the 97-degree FoV. The I2 tubes are manufactured at the company’s Electron Tube Operations facility in Tempe, Arizona. The GPNVG is currently used by US Special Forces and national security forces across the globe.

With four image-intensified tubes and the FoV, the GPNVG provides operators with increased situational awareness during periods of reduced light and night operations.

Our Fusion technology enables the operator to switch from a thermal visual display to a traditional image-intensified display, or a combination of the two, without changing or adding a clip-on component to their goggle,” Mr. Buchakjian continued. L3 Warrior Sensor Systems’ suite of fusion technology includes the Fusion Goggle System, the Fusion Goggle Enhanced and the Enhanced Night Vision Goggle.

The GPNVG and our fusion goggles are manufactured at L3 Warrior Sensor Systems’ Londonderry, NH facility. The goggles include L3’s high-performance Gen III I2 tubes manufactured by L3’s Electron Tube Operations facility in Tempe, AZ,” he concluded.
