Strengthens GA-EMS Capabilities in SAR Data Processing
General Atomics has acquired Colorado-based Neva Ridge Technologies, a specialist in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data processing technology and services, the company announced on 3 March.
The business will be integrated into General Atomics’ Electromagnetic Systems Group (GA-EMS). Neva Ridge Technologies has made important innovations and advances in high-resolution SAR, including a unique, patented technique to produce three-dimensional precision imagery using SAR data. This aligns with GA-EMS’ focus on delivering cutting-edge technologies for the defense and space markets.
“We look forward to bringing the Neva Ridge Technologies team on board to enhance our capabilities,” commented Scott Forney, President of GA-EMS. “Leveraging the team’s extensive expertise to deliver SAR technology innovations will allow us to advance our products, expand infrastructure, and provide enhanced solutions to our government and commercial customers.”
Founded in 2005, Neva Ridge Technologies has been a key member of the SAR community, including ‘new space’. It has strong SAR processing capabilities in areas such as interferometry, terrain mapping, millimeter ground motion mapping and generation of 3D point clouds.
