Deliveries Extend Into 2027
General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) has been awarded a US Army contract valued at $280 million to procure Trophy active protection system (APS) kits to equip Abrams main battle tanks.
Trophy rapidly detects, classifies and engages threats such as recoilless rifles, antitank guided missiles, rockets, tank rounds and rocket-propelled grenades. Threat detection, including their launch location, allows tank crews to rapidly handle and engage targets appropriately. The kits will be installed on M1A2 SEPv2 and M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams as needed, continuing their fielding across the Army.
Work on the IDIQ contract is expected to extend into mid-2027.
