$41 Million, Deliveries Through 2026
On 14 December the Colombian Air Force (Fuerza Aérea Colombiana – FAC) agreed the procurement of an additional four Beechcraft T-6C Texan II from Textron Aviation Defense, at a cost of $41 million.
An initial batch of four aircraft was acquired in 2020 to replace the aging Cessna T-37, followed by two more in 2021. The force’s stated intention is to acquire a fleet of 24 aircraft, to be operated by the International Fixed Wing School (ESIAF) which is part of the Air Combat Command No. 1 (CACOM-1) at Germán Olano Air Base.
Payment will be made in installments between 2022-2026, with the aircraft delivered at the rate of one aircraft per year from next year till 2026.
