Seven fighters and transport aircraft

Seven fighters and transport aircraft – among them, the F-35A LIGHTNING II for the first time in Latin America – gather in one of the main Aerospace, Defence and Security Shows in Latin America. 

On the evening of Friday 30 March, latest generation aircraft from the United States Air Force (USAF) arrived at the apron of Pudahuel Air Base in the II Air Brigade on the occasion of the 20. edition of the International Air and Space Fair, FIDAE 2018.

One of the models presenting at the principal Aerospace, Defence and Security Showcase in the continent is the state-of-the-art fighter, Lockheed Martin‘s F-35A LIGHTNING II, landing in Latin America for the first time. This fighter is part of the static exhibition, equipped with stealth technology and modern anti-missile defence systems. 

USAF is also displaying the F-22 RAPTOR, performing different exercises of air precision during all the days of the Fair, showcasing its capabilities for which is considered one of the most advanced aircraft in terms of technology, as it can fly at supersonic speeds – over 1,5 Mach – without using the afterburner. 

The following aircraft are also be present for the static exhibition: HERCULES MC130H COMBAT TALON II, KC-135R STRATOTANKER, C-17 GLOBEMASTER III and KC-10 EXTENDER.

Furthermore, in the following days, the Boeing B-52 STRATOFORTRESS is expected to land, a subsonic, strategic bomber of long-range, powered by eight turbojet engines. The aircraft manufactured by the American company Boeing and operated by the USAF from 1955 will amuse the public in the exhibition apron of FIDAE.
Along with fighters and combat aircraft, the USAF will delight the public coming to the shows of the USAF parachuting team, Wings of Blue, which is proving its experience in precision parachuting for the fifth time in FIDAE. 

AMPLIA PRESENCIA DE LA USAF EN FIDAE 2018

Siete aeronaves de combate y transporte, entre ellas la presencia por primera vez en Latinoamérica del F-35A Lightning II, se darán cita en la principal muestra Aeroespacial, de Defensa y Seguridad de América Latina. 

La tarde del viernes 30 de marzo, arribaron a la losa de la Base Aérea “Pudahuel”, asentada en la IIª Brigada Aérea, aeronaves de última generación de la Fuerza Aérea de los Estados Unidos (USAF), con motivo de su participación en la vigésima versión de la Feria Internacional del Aire y del Espacio, FIDAE 2018.

Entre los modelos que se presentarán en la principal muestra Aeroespacial, de Defensa y Seguridad del continente, se encuentra el avión de combate más moderno del mundo, el F-35A Lightning II, el cual visita por primera vez América Latina. Este caza de combate que formará parte de la exhibición estática, posee tecnología para evadir radares enemigos y modernos sistemas de defensa antimisiles. 

La USAF presentará además el F-22 Raptor, que realizará todos los días de la feria diversos ejercicios de precisión aérea, mostrando sus capacidades, que le permiten ser considerada como una de las más avanzadas del mundo en cuanto a tecnología, ya que puede volar a velocidades supersónicas – más de 1,5 Mach – sin usar el postquemador. 

Arribarán también para la muestra estática las siguientes aeronaves: Hércules MC130H Combat Talon II, KC-135R Stratotanker, C-17 Globemaster III y KC-10 Extender.
Además, en los próximos días, se espera la llegada del Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, avión bombardero estratégico subsónico de largo alcance, propulsado por ocho motores de reacción, fabricado por la compañía estadounidense Boeing y que está en servicio en la USAF desde 1955, el que podrá ser apreciado por el público en la losa de exhibiciones de FIDAE.

Junto a la presencia de aeronaves de combate y transporte, la Fuerza Aérea de EE.UU. deleitará al público asistente con las presentaciones del equipo de paracaidismo de la USAF “Wings of Blue”, que por quinta vez en FIDAE, demostrará su experiencia en el paracaidismo de precisión.
