Spanish Company Exhibits for 14th Time at Chile’s International Expo
With a long tradition of providing appropriate and effective defence and security to Latin America – its products are in service with more than 10 of the region’s armed forces – EXPAL will be exhibiting at FIDAE 2018 in Santiago de Chile next month for the fourteenth time. The company will showcase its solutions and service proposals for land, sea and air mission support, ranging from a comprehensive range of ammunition to innovative combat engineer equipment and innovative demilitarisation services.
High performance field artillery ammunition lies at the heart of the EXPAL range – particularly for 105 and 155mm calibres. Ranges of up to 20 and 40km respectively can be achieved using base bleed rounds, which are already in Chilean service, and the range also includes visual and IR illuminating rounds and multispectral smoke.
The naval ammunition range includes 40 and 76mm projectiles as well as 5in/127mm rounds; all ranges are available in a number of mission-specific variants as well as high explosive. The company’s airborne armaments portfolio includes conventional weapons such as the MK-80 series bombs, training bombs MK-76, BDU-33 and MK-22 and the BPG 2000 precision guided penetration bomb.
Also on show at FIDAE 2018 will be EXPAL’s offerings for combat engineers, special operations forces and EOD/counter-IED teams, including initiation systems and demolition charges, developed to provide users with maximum efficiency, simplicity of operation and – most importantly – safety in use.
EXPAL will also be highlighting its more than four decades’ experience in the design, development, manufacture and maintenance of demilitarisation systems, offering military authorities an innovative and efficient method of dealing with end of life ammunition, explosives and propellants.
