FIDAE 2024 will take place in Santiago de Chile from 9 to 14 April

On the twenty-third edition of the oldest and foremost Aerospace, Defence and Security exhibition in Latin America, FIDAE 2024, which will take place in Santiago de Chile from 9 to 14 April, the third version of the Space Summit 2024 will host the III Meeting of Space Agencies of the Member Countries of the Italo-Latin American International Organization (IILA).

During the meeting, representatives of the intergovernmental organisation’s member countries will share views on topics of common interest to promote cultural, socio-economic, technical-scientific, and cooperative relations between Europe and Latin America.

The IILA is an intergovernmental organisation established in 1966, conceived to promote and enhance cultural, socio-economic, technical-scientific, and cooperative relations between Europe and Latin America. It is composed of Italy along with Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, The Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

Since 2007, the IILA has been an observer member of the United Nations General Assembly. Since 2018, it has been part of the Ministerial Meetings of the European Union (EU) – the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC). Additionally, since 2017, the organisation has been guiding its policies to pursue the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
