Innovations Small and Large Loom in Airframer’s Future
Today we had an opportunity at FIDAE in Chile to speak with Jackson Schneider, President and CEO of Embraer Defense and Security.
He stated that Embraer is presenting the company’s most important solutions at FIDAE, in the form of the KC-390 Millenium and A-29 Super Tucano aircraft. However, solutions in radars, in sensors, in air traffic control and in cyber are also on display for visitors. He underlined that FIDAE is one of the most important shows for Embraer, because he can meet clients, companies in the supply chain and other partners.
The A-29 Super Tucano fleet just reached the milestone of 500,000 flight hours during FIDAE. And Jackson Schneider is certain there will be more clients for the A-29 and KC-390 in the near future. Embraer is conducting multiple campaigns around the world with the KC-390. He underlined, that it is a constant process to improve and enhance the aircraft: there will be new sensors, effectors and other systems to be integrated, to meet the client’s requirements.
He didn’t want to go too far into details, but in the future Embraer might not only offer manned aircraft, but also drones.
The entire interview can be read in the upcoming issues of Military Technology and Tecnologia Militar.
