Esterline to supply integrated helicopter solutions to Gulf country

Esterline announced at the Farnborough International Airshow that it has been selected by a Gulf country for a middle-to-heavy helicopter platform upgrade which includes Esterline Integrated Helicopter Solutions (IHS).

“This selection is an example of our ability to provide superior solutions to equip helicopters with the latest technologies in order for pilots to focus on successfully accomplishing their missions in some of the harshest environments,”  Esterline Avionics Systems President Michel Potvin said.

The Esterline Integrated Helicopter Solutions (IHS) include a glass cockpit (MFD-3068 and RDU-3068), a flight management system (FMS-9000), a GPS landing system (CMA-6024) and other optional features. The upgrade will address obsolescence, reduce workload, enhance safety, increase situational awareness and equip the helicopters with the latest Esterline Avionics Systems technology as part of an upgrade that is creating one of the most capable rotary wing in the region.
