Self-Forming, Self-Healing, Scalable Wireless IP Network
Persistent Systems, a provider of Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) technology and developer of WAVE RELAY, has won a contract to support the FBI’s Operational Technology Division with its MPU5 communications system.
Providing a self-forming, self-healing and extremely scalable wireless IP network for the Bureau, the MPU5 solution features a built-in video encoder/decoder for sitribution of multiple real-time video feeds, advanced audio architecture to allow users to tether legacy narrowband radios to the network and a 3×3 MIMO radio with up to 6W transmit power, providing a secure IP network in any environment, with over 100Mbps usable throughput.
“We are confident that the MPU5 will set a new standard for performance, capability, and features found nowhere else in the industry, and we’re extremely proud to be one of the awardees chosen by the Department of Justice,” Dr. Herbert Rubens, CEO of Persistent Systems, commented.
