Projects Include Development of SAR for PUCARÁ FÉNIX
The President of the Argentine Aircraft Factory ‘Brig San Martín (FAdeA), Marta Iriondo and the General Manager of INVAP, Vivente Campenni, recently signed a framework collaboration agreement by video conference link, with the active participation of Argentina’s Secretary of Science, Technology and Industry for Defence, Daniela Castro.
The agreement kickstarts a process of technical cooperation between the institutions, aimed at conducting joint projects and development. Both institutions will begin a series of activities planned for the short, medium and long term, among which the most important is the development of a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) to be installed in a pod mounted on the PUCARÁ FÉNIX aircraft for the conduct of border patrol and similar surveillance and intelligence operations.
