Increasing activities in the region working with local partnerships
Pearson Engineering seeks to increase its activities in the region working with local partnerships, which ensures streamlined access into the markets they are best suited. In Colombia, NAHER Trading is able to take care of the technical requirement documentation, tendering processes, identify new opportunities and serve as a consulting liaison, handling the vast majority of daily work that Pearson could not do from the UK. For their part, NAHER is able to, “keep things nice and tidy” vis-á-vis regulations, evaluations, customer meetings and pre-sales,” according to Johana Garzón Rodríguez, the Account Executive working with Pearson.
Spokeswoman and Head of Marketing Nicola Irving explains the partnership model is integral to their global operating success that utilises circa 15 advisors – which will increase to nearly 25 in total for 2018 globally. Irving clarifies how NAHER is important in Pearson´s two-part strategy for: 1) the region – which remains largely untapped for Pearson in terms of supplying the military with mine clearance, peace-keeping and combat engineering (including disaster relief); and, 2) Colombia – which has post-FARC Conflict mine clearance needs for which the Mine Wolf 50 is designed specifically for the mined areas difficult, rough terrain. Pearson also can provide counter-mine add-on equipment for LAVs as well as members of the Mine Wolf family.
