Unmanned RWS Well-Suited to AFB Upgrade Programmes

Prominent on Aselsan’s exhibit at Expodefensa in Bogotó this week is the NEFER turret system.

An unmanned system, designed to use both NATO-standard and Russian weapon systems, the remote-controlled weapon station (RWS) was developed primarily to attack armoured vehicle targets. It is well-suited to inclusion in upgrade programmes for armoured fighting vehicles, featuring low weight and a suitably reduced silhouette and offering extensive surveillance and controlled firepower capabilities.
