Tactical Radar Co-developed with Indra
CODALTEC, Colombia’s High Technology Defence Corporation, is showing its TADER (Tactical Air Defense Radar) at EXPODEFENSA this week.
Developed in collaboration with Indra for the Colombian Air Force (FAC), TADER is a mobile tactical radar system designed to detect low-flying aircraft and is a result of the technological collaboration between the two companies that began in 2014. CODALTEC delivered this radar to the FAC last year – the first aerial surveillance radar for military applications developed in Colombia.
TADER operates individually or in an integrated network, linked to a command and control system and is of interest to regional powers that have problems arising from illegal flights by drug traffickers, for example.
