TIGR UGV Mounts SMASH Hopper RCWS
Roboteam and SmartShooter will unveil an integrated solution at Eurosatory 2022: a tactical ground robot incorporating SMASH technology to offer tactical manoeuvre forces precision hit capacity from stand-off distances, as well as a counter-sUAS capability.
Roboteam’s Transportable Interoperable Ground Robot (TIGR) is a medium-sized UGV, carried by two individuals. Adding to it the SmartShooter SMASH Hopper, a light RCWS with pin-point accurate lethal capability, the integrated solution enhances lethality and survivability for tactical forces, by providing them the ability to hit ground, aerial, moving or stationary targets from a safe stand-off distance. Lightweight, with high manoeuvrability and the capability to climb stairs, the solution is ideal for urban, border control, subterranean and other tactical operational missions.
The companies believe that their presentation at Eurosatory only begins to unveil the extent of the various possible integrations of their products. Platform agnostic, SMASH fire control systems can also be integrated into Roboteam’s other robotic platforms, such as the ROOK multi-purpose robotic UGV and PROBOT lightweight heavy-payload robot.
“The implementation of the SMASH technology to Roboteam’s tactical UGVs robots is significantly extending the operational capabilities of our products: adding lethality in its safest operational mode while keeping to both companies’ sacred mission of protecting the lives of combat troops and law enforcement personnel at the most challenging combat scenarios,” explained Roboteam CEO, Uzzi Rozzen.
“Rifle-mounted, remotely-controlled, robotic, UGV- or UAV-mounted, the SMASH technology can be integrated onto different platforms according to [the] customer’s needs,” added Michal Mor, SmartShooter’s CEO.
