Significant Improvements, Same Robust Performance
FN Herstal will unveil its entirely revamped FN Five-seveN handgun at Eurosatory 2022, 13-17 June.
In response to evolving user requirements, a significant number of key improvements have been made to the weapon, including enhanced design, improved ergonomics and better usability – though its established performance remains unchanged.
The new FN Five-seveN MRD is compatible with the mini red dot sights in most common use, to enable rapid target acquisition and optimum hit probability. The pistol grip offers a multi-surfaced texture for enhanced grip and faster follow-up shots, as well as enhanced, wider grooves on the slide for easier cocking and press check.
Available in black or flat dark earth, the pistol can fire subsonic cartridges, using an optional long threaded barrel and sound suppressor. With three decades of trusted service with military, special and law enforcement forces worldwide, the FN Five-seveN is extremely reliable and has been militarily qualified by FN Herstal.
Together with the P90 submachine gun and the 5.7x28mm cartridge, the Five-seveN constitutes the iconic 5.7x28mm Weapon System, entirely designed and developed by FN Herstal. Now recognised as a NATO standard (STANAG) 4509), the system ensures critical mission interoperability, aligning with the SS109 reference ammunition.
