Already Attracting Multiple OEMs for Bespoke Braking Solutions
Bespoke brake manufacturer Alcon Components Limited has selected Eurosatory 2022 to expose its competence and legacy to public view for the first time in a defence context.
The company will showcase a range of braking solutions, aimed at vehicles from 2t to over 45t in weight. Stemming from a 35-year legacy in engineering high-quality high-performance brakes and clutches for specialist vehicles – from Formula1 through World Rally vehicles to 60+t armoured vehicles, Alcon has a proven pedigree in rapidly solving unique braking problems created by the operational demands of the military environment. Sought out by some of the world’s leading vehicle OEMs, Alcon was selected by Patria to provide a bespoke braking solution for the new 6×6 heavy armoured vehicle. The company’s braking systems are used by over 20 defence and security equipment OEMs, including Patria, Supacat, BAE Systems, Ricardo and Jankel.
