Land, Sea and Air Proposals for Munitions and Weapon Systems

EXPAL Systems has been attending Eurosatory for over 20 years and this year, once again, will present its latest products, systems and solutions in response to current and future requirements of the armed forces in the air, land and sea domains. Over 60 nations currently use EXPAL product and service solutions.

The complete family of 155mm extended range artillery ammunition, with increased range and precision, as well as the latest configuration of the EIMOS 81mm vehicle-mounted mortar system, will be showcased during the exhibition. The EIMOS offering, thanks to its high mobility and fast operation capability, completes EXPAL’s ‘One-Stop Shop’ solution for indirect fire support missions with mortars.

Other highlighted solutions will include the range of electronic fuzes for field and naval artillery ammunition, as well as the company’s expertise in propellants – for example, in the reconstituting of rocket motors, in which EXPAL’s expertise helps operators extend the life cycle of relatively high-cost weapon systems.

Air solutions

EXPAL collaborates with a broad range of defence organisations to be able to integrate its products into the most significant aerial combat platforms. In addition, the company has specific facilities enabling it to provide maintenance, overhaul and upgrade of aeronautical systems. These capabilities have resulted in more than 24 air forces being included on EXPAL’s list of global customers. At Eurosatory, visitors to the EXPAL booth will be able to see the last developments in 2.75in air-to-ground rockets from the CAT-70 family, suitable for both fixed-wing and rotary-wings platforms, as well as its proposals for reconditioning rocket motors.

Land solutions

The One-Stop Shop proposal for mortar systems offers a unique, complementary range of solutions to meet all mission needs for artillery and infantry operations. This integrated solution includes: 60, 81 and 120mm mortars; mortar systems integrated on a high mobility lightweight vehicle (EIMOS); a fire support information system for mortars and artillery (TECHFIRE); ammunition; a mini-UAV for forward observation (SHEPHERD-MIL); and a tactical training simulator for mortar units (eSIMOX).

These devices can work in a coordinated fashion for a single misión, or be adapted to the systems in use by individual customers. The One-Stop Shop solution offers a single point of contact to ensure integration, maintenance, logistic and customer support services, as well as demilitarisation services to destroy ammunition and systems at the end of their life-cycles.
