Media Broadcast Satellite GmbH (MBS) and Luxemburg’s GovSat S.A. join forces to respond to increased demands of government and defence customers
MBS, with its own teleport located in Usingen close to Frankfurt/Main, and GovSat, with its recently launched GovSat-1 satellite, aim to provide secure and reliable broadband-level performance in unique X-band and military Ka-band. The newly established service provided by both companies will support Anker stations to quick deployable small aperture satellite terminals.
MBS is Germany’s largest teleport operator. With up to 135 active antennas and a 24/7 manned Network Operations Centre (NOC), the company enables connectivity in government use frequency bands (X-band and Mil Ka-band), as well as commercial bands (C-, Ku- and Ka-band) and through its worldwide fibre network. GovSat is a public-private joint venture between the Luxemburg Government and SES, the latter known as the world-leading satellite operator.
