Lightweight Wide-Area Motion Imagery for the Insitu INTEGRATOR
Logos Technologies is exhibiting the REDKITE-I sensor for the first time at Eurosatory. REDKITE-I is a small wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) system configured to fit in the bay of an Insitu INTEGRATOR. Weighing less than 25lbs, REDKITE-I performs at the level of larger WAMI sensors.
REDKITE-I monitors a city-sized area in near real-time, simultaneously detecting and tracking multiple, geographically dispersed targets while also recording events for real time forensic analysis. While in the air, REDKITE processes and stores up to eight hours of geo-tagged WAMI imagery. Sensor operators can quickly access live or recorded data—establishing connections and relationships between persons of interest that would not otherwise be detected.
REDKITE-I’s features include:
_Ultra-lightweight – less than 25lbs
_Coverage of an area up to 4km (2.48mi) in diameter
_Resolution optimized to track vehicles and detect moving dismounts
_Onboard storage of up to eight hours of mission data
_Advanced internal and external data processing options
_Streaming video windows to support more than 10 sensor operators at once
_Imagery that can be transmitted to handheld devices
_User-defined “watchboxes” to provide sensor operators automated detection alerts
The REDKITE sensor is also available in a platform-agnostic pod weighing less than 30 lbs. In either configuration, REDKITE can be integrated onto a variety of civilian and military platforms. In addition to light planes and helicopters, the sensor can go on small- and medium-sized unmanned aircraft, including Group 3 UAS. As such, REDKITE lends itself to military, homeland security and public safety missions.
