Proven ARKHE Product Range for Defence and Public Security
Embraer subsidiary Atech is focusing attention on its ARKHE range of monitoring and surveillance solutions during Eurosatory 2018 in Paris this week.
A country’s defence entails the integration of extensive resources and systems aimed at providing full situational awareness for intelligent decision-making. Atech’s ARKHE Intergated Surveillance offers just such capability – and has been proven in service in Brazil and other nations. ARKHE Integrated Surveillance integrates data from systems and sensors in real time so an armed force can make more assertive decisions during missions for monitoring and containing threats.
Designed for defence, the system monitors access to an area by land, sea or air, identifying possible threats and alerting the command chain for a quick intervention. It receives information from different sensors – ground, air and sea meteorological radars and cameras – as well as other fixed or mobile entities forming part of an integrated communication network. It therefore enables data fusion and correlation, in addition to the exchange of strategic information, thus providing operational commanders with the most complete view of the tactical scenario.
Besides integrating existing systems, the modular and scalable architecture of ARKHE Integrated Surveillance allows implementation in phases, synchronising with a client’s requirements and budget. It is a way of making important defence projects viable at the same time as ensuring the client stays true to their actual needs.
In addition to its deployment in Brazil, ARKHE Integrated Surveillance provides the systemic base for all defence and territorial monitoring of an African nation, which Atech is unable to identify publicly. “In this case too, Atech, integrated inherited systems and existing resources to a command centre completely developed for catering to the client’s needs. We also developed an air traffic control integrated system for ensuring the full safety of this solution,” explained Atech’s Director for Business, Giacomo Staniscia.
