Mobile Encryption for Multiple Security Levels
Several EU institutions have procured additional Sectra TIGER mobile encryption units to ensure users are able to securely and efficiently communicate classified information up to and including the EU SECRET level, with full availability anywhere and at any time. The order, valued at SEK14.5 million (€1.4 million), follows a framework agreement established in August last year.
“We have used the Sectra TIGER system for several years and it meets our high demands for secure communications between Brussels and our EU Delegations around the world. As the pandemic highlighted the need for additional secure exchanges with other EU institutions, the existing Sectra system was naturally considered to cover these new requirements,” stated a senior representative of the European External Action Service.
Unique features of the Sectra TIGER system allow users to communicate securely between different organizations and security levels, without risking the confidentiality of the information, while ensuring the integrity of each security domain. Over half of EU member states use the system to share classified information. This is possible thanks to the Sectra Tiger Ecosystem approach, which creates a secure communications environment without’ crypto islands,’ allowing the user organization to balance individual security requirements with the right level of solution, supporting current and future encryption needs.
