Coordinated by ABIMDE in partnership with ApexBrasil, the pavilion brings together eleven companies from the Defense and Security Industrial Base
Espaço Brasil was inaugurated on September 9, the first day of Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2025, in London, one of the largest international events in the defense and security sector. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Ambassador Antonio de Aguiar Patriota, Brazilian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and Commander of the Brazilian Navy, Admiral Marcos Sampaio Olsen.
The ceremony brought together prominent authorities from the Armed Forces and the defense sector, such as Admiral Edgar Luiz Siqueira Barbosa, Director-General of Navy Equipment; Air Force Lieutenant Brigadier Heraldo Luiz Rodrigues, Secretary of Defense Products (SEPROD); Major General Alcio Alves Almeida e Costa, Deputy Chief of Joint Operations at the Ministry of Defense; General Tales Villela, Director of Army Manufacturing; Colonel Antônio Ribeiro, Director of the Projects and Trade Promotion Division at ABIMDE; and Daniel Pirola, representing ApexBrasil.
Eleven companies are part of Espaço Brasil, coordinated by the Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Industries (ABIMDE), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) and with the support of the Ministry of Defense (MD) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE). They are: Atech, Berkana Tecnologia em Segurança, CSA, CSD, Kryptus, M&K, Modirum Gespi, Protecta, Simtech, Ocellott, and Vertical do Ponto.
Until September 12, Espaço Brasil will welcome international delegations and authorities, offering Brazilian companies the opportunity to present their defense and security solutions and increase their visibility abroad.
“The first day of the fair was quite intense, with visits from several trade representatives seeking to establish contact with our exhibitors. But the highlight was the inauguration and the presence of the Brazilian Ambassador in London, Antônio Patriota, who paid close attention to each of the companies, asking for details and delving into each of the defense solutions offered,” said Colonel Antônio Ribeiro.
Over more than forty years, ABIMDE has consolidated its role as a bridge between Brazilian industry and the international scene, articulating policies, initiatives, and partnerships that expand the country’s presence in the defense and security sector. The entity has been a reference in promoting industrial and technological capabilities, connecting Brazilian companies to new markets and consolidating their operations beyond national borders.
