Terma Announcements Show Enlarged Regional Footprint
Terma told MONS that the first installation of its SCANTER-6000 X-band (8.5 gigahertz/GHz to 10.68GHz) naval surveillance radar onboard the Indian Navy’s ‘Delhi’ class destroyers is expected to be completed by February 2018. The company, which is partnering locally with Tata Advanced Systems in the provision of the SCANTER-6000 radar for the force, will install this system across the lion’s share of the Indian Navy surface fleet, from Offshore Patrol Vessels upwards.
In addition, the firm revealed that it expects to deliver the first of its C-Guard decoy systems to furnish two new 2,600t frigates equipping the Philippines Navy under construction by Hyundai by the end of 2018. The company had announced that the C-Guard had been selected to equip these new vessels in late October.
