Enforce Tac 2019 – More Space for Security

European Police Trainer Conference (EPTK) & U.T.SEC take place parallel

Enforce Tac, the special-interest international exhibition and conference for law enforcement, security and tactical solutions, will take place for the eighth time at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg 6-7 March 2019.

Every year, the latest trends in the law enforcement sector are presented at this international trade fair for command, control and operational resources for official security agencies.

The European Police Trainer Conference (EPTK), which includes presentations and practical exercises for training and professional development, and U.T.SEC – Summit for Drones, Unmanned Technologies & Security, will both take place parallel to the trade fair. The patron of Enforce Tac in 2019 is the German Federal Ministry of the Interior.

The steady growth of Enforce Tac in recent years is not only proof of the importance of this topic but has also affected the positioning of the exhibition within the Nuremberg venue. For the first time in 2019, Enforce Tac will be held in hall 12, at West entrance. This ground level location provides even more space for exhibitors and their presentations. Already, the display area booked exceeds the final total for 2018.

So that official security experts from the police, law enforcement, border protection, customs, military police or armed forces can do their jobs properly on a daily basis, security equipment, arrest, interception and overpowering techniques need to be state-of-the-art and give the security forces the best possible protection against fatal injuries. As well as weapons, ballistic accessories, optronics and tactical equipment, the exhibitors at Enforce Tac also present personal protective equipment like bulletproof vests, stab-proof vests, body armour, face protection, shields and helmets.

With a hard focus on the hard job of security experts from the police, judiciary, border protection, customs, military police and armed forces, who demand the latest security equipment ensuring the best possible protection of operational forces against fatal injuries. SAFETY & SECURITY INTERNATIONAL will again be publishing the official Show Dailies for the show.

In 2018, around 3,400 trade visitors got the information they needed from 243 exhibitors from around the world. As a dedicated trade fair for official agencies, admission to Enforce Tac is restricted and trade visitors have to provide proof of their eligibility in the form of an official ID card or confirmation from a security agency.

In recent years, the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior has been the patron of the event. In 2019, this role will be taken over by the German Ministry of the Interior. In his welcoming remarks, Horst Seehofer, Federal Minister of the Interior, Building and Community, stresses the importance of security forces having modern equipment: “Professional equipment is absolutely imperative for authorities and organisations with security responsibilities. All of these dedicate themselves to protecting our safety and maintaining order in our country with great professionalism and commitment every day. As Federal Minister of the Interior, Building and Community, it is therefore important to me that they have professional equipment and safety gear at their disposal. Only then can they perform their duties well and remain safe in the vast majority of situations, if not all of them, and return from call-outs unscathed.”

Alongside the Demonstration Area with live demonstrations by renowned companies in the exhibition area, a visit to Enforce Tac offers other opportunities for specialist training. One highlight is the annual EPTK, which since 2006 has been taking place ahead of the IWA OutdoorClassics fair, and since 2012 has run parallel to Enforce Tac. PiD – Police Trainers in Germany – hosts the EPTK conference in collaboration with NürnbergMesse. Also back again in Nuremberg in 2019 is the “Weapons and Equipment” Conference hosted by the German Police Academy. This is where experts on weapons and equipment from official agencies can find out about innovations for day to day policing and the safe handling of service firearms. In addition, the Laser Safety Conference organised by the Bavarian Laser Centre (blz) will explore the problems associated with laser pointer attacks against security forces and vehicle drivers and propose solutions.

U.T.SEC covers the issue of unmanned aerial objects and vehicles, particularly their use by security agencies. This summit will focus on the technical, legal and practical options for improving public safety through the use of or defence against drones. U.T.SEC has partnered with UAV DACH e.V., the largest German-language professional association for unmanned aviation in Europe, and VfS, the association for security technology, which deals with security concerns and logistical problems in areas with more stringent security requirements. The patron of U.T.SEC 2019 is the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Media, Energy and Technology.

As well as the exhibition area with the latest products for using and defending against drones, the event also offers diverse opportunities for networking and knowledge-sharing. Security and safety-related issues are presented and discussed in various forums, workshops, panel discussions, a demo area and on conference stages, while café and networking areas encourage customer relations to be built and nurtured. U.T.SEC, located in the NCC West at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, is directly adjacent to the Enforce Tac exhibition area and can be visited free of charge with the Enforce Tac trade visitor ticket.

NürnbergMesse has established and proven expertise in the safety and security field. With events such as Enforce Tac – Trade Fair for Law Enforcement, it-sa, it-sa Brasil and it-sa India – Trade Fairs for IT Security, FeuerTRUTZ – Trade Fair for Preventive Fire Protection as well as Perimeter Protection – Trade Fair for Perimeter Protection, FIRE & SECURITY INDIA EXPO and also U.T.SEC – Summit for Drones, Unmanned Technologies & Security it brings together a total of around 1,500 exhibitors and some 38,000 visitors from all over the world.
