Embraer has signed a service support agreement with the Philippine Air Force (PAF) to support the service’s fleet of A-29 Super Tucanos, covering over 200 part numbers for the aircraft.
According to MON sister publication The World Defence Almanac 2022, the PAF operates six Super Tucanos in a combat role with 16 Squadron in the 15th Strike Wing. The aircraft were delivered in 2020.
“Staying close to our customers and supporting them in their missions is core to what we do,” explained Rinaldo Piubeli Prado, VP Worldwide Defense & Security Customer Support & Aftermarket Sales, Embraer Services & Support.
Last year, the worldwide Super Tucano fleet achieved 500,000 flight hours. With over 260 so far delivered, the aircraft has been selected by more than 15 air forces.
