Among others there will be the C-390 Millennium multi-mission transport aircraft and the A-29 Super Tucano light attack and training aircraft
Embraer will promote several defence and security solutions at the International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition (ADEX) 2023, which will take place in Seoul, South Korea, from 17 to 22 October. Embraer’s products will include the C-390 Millennium multi-mission transport aircraft, the A-29 Super Tucano light attack and training aircraft, and broader solutions for air, land, sea, and space domains.
“We are honoured to be at ADEX, and we look forward to growing our relations with the Korean customers and Korea’s broader aerospace community,” said Bosco da Costa Junior, President & CEO of Embraer Defense & Security.
Last year, the company deepened its collaboration with the Korean defence industry by signing several memorandums of understanding with ASTG (Aerospace Technology of Global), EMK (EM Korea Co.), and Kencoa Aerospace, aimed to supply parts for the Embraer C-390 Millennium aircraft in the future.
The C-390 Millennium, the new generation multi-mission military transport aircraft, is currently operational with the Brazilian Air Force (FAB). It has achieved an operational availability of 80% and mission accomplishment rates above 99%, demonstrating outstanding productivity for this aircraft segment.
Besides Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, the Netherlands, and most recently, Austria have selected the C-390 to modernise their military transport aircraft fleets.
As for the Super Tucano, the aircraft is highly versatile and equipped with a powerful turboprop arrangement. It can perform various missions, including light attack, aerial surveillance and interception, and counterinsurgency. The aircraft ensures low operational and sustainment costs and high availability (above 90%). The A-29 has been selected by 16 air forces worldwide.
