Contract Solidifies Elbit Systems as Leading Provider for US Army

On 23 November, Elbit Systems of America announced it has been awarded a five-year IDIQ contract for the production of mortar systems for the US Army. The contract, which has a maximum value up to US$103 million, solidifies the company’s position as the leading provider of such systems for the US Army.

It also announced the signature of an MoU with the Army’s Watervliet Arsenal in New York, under which the Arsenal effectively becomes a subcontractor to Elbit Systems for a variety of mortar components.

Company President and CEO Ranaan Horowitz informed Mönch that the continued partnership with the US Army ensures it is supplied with, “the mortar systems that enhance their mission effectiveness and provide the necessary precision and flexibility to address current and future threats.”
