The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract the company has signed has a ceiling of €455 Million
The US Department of Defence (DOD) has awarded Elbit Systems of America a contract with a maximum ceiling of €455 ($500) million for the supply of an indefinite quantity of Squad Binocular Night Vision Goggle (SBNVG) systems to the US Marine Corps.
As part of the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract, the company, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems, will also provide spare and repair parts, contractor logistics support and test article refurbishment.
The work will be carried out in Roanoke (Virginia, US) and should be completed in 2028. Following the contract award, Elbit Systems of America received an initial delivery order worth some €115 ($127) million.
The SBNVG is a lightweight helmet-mounted system that provides superior nighttime viewing in various environments and conditions, improving warfighter situational awareness and performance. The system includes enhanced battery life and high-performing white phosphor image intensification tubes for improved clarity and depth perception.
