$85 Million Over Five-Year Period
Elbit Systems of America announced on 26 September that it has been awarded a contract by the US Navy valued at $85 million (€77.6 million) over a five-year period for repair of the Digital Display Indicator (DDI) integrated on board the service’s F/A-18 HORNET and SUPER HORNET fleets.
The DDI cockpit display enables pilots to select, manage and customise the performance of the aircraft’s weapons and to visualise the video imagery provided by the weapon systems. Work under the contract will be carried out in Talladega, AL.
