David HX-8, Mbombe, Magni, E-LynX and BMS
Elbit Systems has been awarded a contract, valued at approx. $65 million, for a modernisation solution for an undisclosed army in Latin America, the company announced on 26 October. The contract has a two-and-a-half year period of performance.
As part of the customer’s army-wide modernisation programme, Elbit Systems will supply the first fully-networked mechanised brigade solution. This will consist of Shladot’s David HX-8 4×4 and Paramount’s Mbombe armoured vehicles, equipped with an E-LynX softwardefined radio mobile network solution, a complete battle management suite and Magni mini-VTOL UAS.
