Solutions Based on E-LynX Family
Following a rigorous test and evaluation programme, Elbit Systems has been selected by the Swiss Federal Office for Defence Procurement (Armasuisse) and the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS) to provide the Swiss armed forces with an army-wide tactical Software Defined Radio (SDR) solution under the Telecommunications Armed Forces (TK A) programme, Ersa mob Komm, the company announced on 29 October.
Subject to approval by Parliament, the contract calls for the supply of radios based on the open architecture E-LynX SDR family.
“Switzerland is a strategic market for us and we will continue with our efforts to support the Swiss armed forces and expand our cooperation with the Swiss industry,” commented Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis, President and CEO of Elbit Systems.
