Support Systems Associates, Inc. (SSAI) has awarded a contract with an initial value of $5 million to Elbit Systems of America to provide an avionics refresh for the US Air National Guard’s Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft – the RC-26B. If all options are exercised, the total contract value will rise to $22 million. Delivery will be completed by 2021.

The contract with SSAI will include avionics engineering, design, integration, modification, test and maintenance for the technically advanced aircraft. Elbit Systems of America, through type certificate ownership, is the original equipment manufacturer of the RC-26B.
