$33 Million for Vehicular, Manpack and Handheld Configurations
Elbit Systems has been awarded a contract, valued at $33 million (€28.1 million), to supply tactical radio systems to a military customer in the Asia-Pacific region, the company announced on 1 October.
To be fulfilled over a 12-month period, the contract calls for delivery of tactical radio systems including vehicular, man-packed and handheld configurations for the customer’s artillery and infantry forces. The radio systems feature advanced networking capabilities enabling reliable and secure voice and data communication services over extended ranges. This contract award follows a recent decision by the same customer to equip its Army with additional Elbit Systems networked combat solutions, including E-LynX software-defined radios and the TORCH-X command and control system.
The company’s radio solutions have been selected by numerous armed forces around the world, including those of Switzerland, Sweden, Germany and Israel.
