Elbit Systems Launches Effective Tool for Public Safety

Elbit Systems announced on 6 June the launch of MAY, an innovative sensing and analysis system that provides real-time, autonomous, wide area acoustic-based intelligence, significantly enhancing situational awareness and response time for security or law enforcement agencies operating in urban and border areas.

Compact and durable acoustic sensors, using wired or wireless communications, operate 24/7 for long periods, continuously sensing the surroundings, detecting acoustic abnormalities and providing real-time analysis based on advanced algorithms and deep learning. Detecting an anomaly (gunfire, alarms, screaming) the system locates, identifies and classifies the event, automatically providing friendly forces with actionable intelligence.

Developed by Elbit Systems and SIGINT Elisra, MAY dramatically reduces response time, increases efficiency and provides a strong deterrent component to an integrated security architecture.
