ATMOS and PULS Delivered Over Two and Three Years
Elbit Systems has won contracts totalling $252 million to supply its ATMOS truck-mounted howitzer and PULS artillery rocket launcher systems to an unnamed NATO member state, the company announced on 2 March.
A battalion-sized delivery of ATMOS and two batteries of PULS are to be supplied over two- and three-year deliver periods respectively. The combat-proven ATMOS is compatible with all NATO-certified 155mm munitions and has an effective range of over 40km – more with rocket-assisted projectiles. PULS delivers free flight and precision guided rockets to ranges between 12 and 300km, and is fully adaptable to existing wheeled or tracked platforms.
“We are witnessing a trajectory of an increased demand for advanced artillery solutions from militaries around the world, including European countries and NATO members, as part of their efforts to increase the effectiveness of their armed forces. Our operationally-proven systems provide an advanced cost-effective solution to meet that demand,” observed Bezhalel Machlis, President and CEO.
