World First Will be Showcased at Security & Counter-Terror
High-speed door and shutter manufacturer EFAFLEX has developed a world first in the ballistics industry – a multi-hit resistant shutter ballistically protected up to 7.62mm calibre. The Munich-based company is establishing a separate division to focus specifically on the market for ballistic protected high-speed and ant-burglary doors.
The EFAFLEX brand is globally recognized in the protection industry and the company has leveraged every aspect of its 40 year legacy to ensure the EFAPROTECT brand will provide the expected levels of satisfaction and capability. The current design is, according to Head of Ballistic Protection Rainer Daniel, a former special forces operative, “the world’s first multi-hit resistant shutter, which is ballistic protected up to 5.56x45mm, 7.62x51mm and 7.62x39mm caliber,” making it resistant to the majority of military small arms ammunition.
EFAPROTECT will be exhibiting at the forthcoming ‘Security & Counter Terror Expo,’ 3-4th May 2017, Olympia, London, where the team will be on hand to demonstrate the shutter in action and discuss any forthcoming projects in confidence.
