GUARDIAN and FGK on Show
Escribano Mechanical & Engineering will be focusing visitor attention on its remote weapon stations (RWS) and munitions guidance kits during EDEX 2021 in Cairo next week.
On show will be RWS from the company’s GUARDIAN family for 12. mm and 7.62mm calibres, its well-known FGK guidance kit for artillery rockets and projectiles, and its Advanced Simulator Trainer, embedded in its RWS for better, faster training of system operators.
All Escribano RWS include the latest-generation electro-optical systems, IR and daylight cameras, two-axis gyro stabilisation, the latest technology in ballistic calculation and the capacity for linking to external sensors. The modular designs allow for easy maintenance and increased system reliability of the system.
A partner to Arab International Optronics, Escribano has signed an agreement with the company for the supply of naval and land remotely-controlled systems, for which several tests have been carried out with various Egyptian vehicles and platforms. EDEX 21 will offer the opportunity to consolidate Spanish interest in the region.
