The European Air Transport Command (EATC) celebrated on September 1st its 15th anniversary at Eindhoven Air Base
In his address, Dutch State Secretary for Defence, Gijs Tuinman, stressed the enduring value of this international collaboration: “No nation can live alone… The European Air Transport Command proves this every day. What started as a cost-saving necessity fifteen years ago has grown into a powerful example of international cooperation.”
EATC’s Commander, Major General Franck Mollard, also delivered a strong message: “EATC’s strength lies in its people and in the unique trust that binds our seven Member Nations together. Through innovation, harmonised procedures, and shared responsibility, we deliver concrete operational effects for Europe and NATO.”
The ceremony also unveiled EATC’s leitmotiv: “Together we go beyond.” The motto reflects the organisation’s ambition to strengthen interoperability and prepare collectively for future challenges.
A special highlight of the event was the Flyby of a Belgian A400M piloted by a Luxembourg pilot and an English co-pilot, alongside a Dutch F-35.
The ceremony was attended by senior military authorities from EATC’s Member Nations (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Spain), as well as NATO representatives, European institutions, and key defence industry stakeholders.
