As the Marine Systems Support Partner for the Royal Navy’s QUEEN ELIZABETH Class aircraft carriers and Type 45 Destroyers, Babcock is the Systems Technical Authority for the platform and propulsion systems on both classes of vessel.
Our extensive ship design and build portfolio includes an exceptional range of vessels including a 50m Inshore Patrol Vessel (IPV), a 70m and 90m Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) and recent design support for a US Coast Guard Cutter. Added to this is, ARROWHEAD a game changing 120m General Purpose Frigate which can meet increasing global demands with the watchwords of capability, adaptability and flexibility.
The recent incorporation of Duqm Naval Dockyard as a company in the Sultanate of Oman is a signal of Babcock’s engineering exportability. This Joint Venture with Oman Drydock Company brings together ODC’s commercial shipyard capabilities and Babcock’s international naval base management, to provide maintenance, support and training to warships and support vessels.
